Willpower – The Discipline Of Urge & Impulse Control For Ultimate Self-Discipline & Success! What’s MOVING you to do what you do, in the way you do it, making your life the way it is? No matter how it may appear on the surface, OTHER PEOPLE AND OUTER CIRCUMSTANCES ARE NOT DICTATING YOUR COURSE THROUGH LIFE! If you KNEW and UNDERSTOOD the NATURE of what’s both pushing you around and pulling your strings, you would possess the answer to a secret so powerful it would change your life forever, giving you unlimited inner strength, independence, self-discipline, willpower, and personal magnetism. But again, KNOWING IS NOT ENOUGH – you have to UNDERSTAND THE NATURE OF THE FORCES DRIVING YOU! That’s where brain training comes in, to put you in direct, conscious contact with an objective of SELF-MASTERY.

Why are we so often compelled to do what we know we shouldn’t, while failing to do what we know we really should? What fundamental forces creep unseen beneath our conscious awareness, whispering in conflict like a demon on one shoulder and an angel on the other shoulder, arguing back and forth? We’ll talk about the NATURE OF URGES AND COMPELLING IMPULSES, their connection to ATTENTION, THOUGHT, and EMOTION – and we’ll talk about what proper mental fitness training can do to utterly change your relationship to Impulses and Urges so that they take on their proper role as SIGNALS to help you succeed, as opposed to being insidious, hidden taskmasters that betray your genuine Will.

When You’ve Come Upon “The Perimeter Of Ignorance” – Take The Leap

The best effect of proper Mental Focus Training is that you finally begin to move in a straight (rather than wavering) line toward the achievement of your crystal clear objectives; this as a result of your mind no longer being moved in conflicting directions by unchecked Attention to objective-sabotaging desires.

Still, even while possessing strong Mental Focus you shall inevitably traverse portions along your course where the unforeseen circumstance arises. This point may take the guise of a lack of knowledge, skill, money, or other shortfall.

When your mind cannot fathom the nature of the next step, the ‘not knowing’ sets off the thoughts, feelings, and tense physiological impulses that comprise the cohesive experience of doubt. At that moment, most people simply suffer in self-conflict and inner turmoil, but you do not have to.

The way you THINK about your task determines how you FEEL about it and whether you have the IMPULSE to hurry towards it because you anticipate pleasure. Think towards your task so that it incites anticipation of pleasure, and make sure you arrange your task so that it IS pleasurable for you. For example, do not allow unpleasant imagery hold sway. Instead, wipe that imagery from the stage of your imagination and, with determined resolve, construct imagery that is attractive in its appearance and feel. Do this continually in relation to tasks that you must do and you will develop the power of active, conscious Thought Control in a way that makes you a self-motivated, self-inspired person.

Are you playing brain games yet getting nowhere in life, feeling stuck in neutral with the same habits and results? What good playing with brain games if they do not teach you how to play the greatest game of all – that which is occurring in your own mind even as you read this? Mental power has nothing to do with the ability to perform parlor tricks for the amusement of others or yourself, but is instead a measure of how EFFECTIVE you are at controlling and applying the AFFECTS of Thought itself for maximum EFFECT in your life. By “AFFECTS OF THOUGHT” I mean the subjective, three-dimensional experience of any thought related to the CONTENT within the thought. The content of a thought (both imagery and emotional ‘feel’) can incite physiological impulses throughout the body, resulting in subjective experience that has either an attractive or repulsive EFFECT.
