Losing Your Mind – Researchers Say Smoking Makes Your Brain Smaller And You Weaker!
A further issue I take with the study results as presented is that the supposed “link” they’ve established between smoking and damage to the brain’s impulse control centers should be evidenced by a universal reduction or lack of self-control in pretty much every area of a smoker’s life. If the impulse control areas of the brain are damaged by smoking, then every long-term smoker should be headed to prison at some point or another, and the longer they smoke, the more unpredictable, out-of-control, and perhaps dangerous they should become. Rather than take it upon themselves to initiate efforts to find actual proof of the asserted link, researchers are going to do another similarly weak study on the effects on the brain after quitting smoking. It would be a great study if they would FIRST PROVE THEIR INITIAL CLAIM.

Building Mental Concentration By Walking Through Walls!
When training your brain to concentrate more effectively, the main obstacle you will immediately encounter one or more forms of mental resistance to the extended effort of holding your attention steady. Your ability to keep your attention fixed on a targeted task may last from as little as a few seconds to a few minutes (varying from person to person), but rarely more than that before it is interrupted by at least one of four very familiar culprits – Wandering Thoughts, Impulsivity, Outside Interruptions, & Mental Fatigue. Moving past these limiting factors brings increased mental power.
Brainpower Ain’t Easy – No Matter What We Tell You…
People, if you want greater mental power, you’re going to have to get into the mental workout habit and you’re going to have to do it with love and commitment and tracking and adjusting and discipline. Period. I can TEACH you all the fundamental concepts in a DAY if I wanted to, but without “WALKING THE WALK,” you really won’t KNOW what it MEANS on a physical, gut level.
