Real Brain Fitness – Train Your Attention And Your Thoughts To Strengthen Your Power Of Will
The only way that an Idea can shackle your Will is for you to be either unaware of the true nature of Thought, or untrained in utilizing Thought as a tool, or both.
Most human beings have no genuine Will – it is buried, impotent, withered – because they are victims of being unaware of the actual nature of Thought and untrained at controlling it for effective benefit.
You would profit greatly – uniquely, in a very uncommon way – by investigating what is the true source of every failure to walk through the flimsy boundaries of your potential. Do so, and you’ll discover to your shock and amazement that the only thing keeping you from being a grander, greater you…is a series of images…in your head…as insubstantial, as meaningless as air. If you can get just enough of a grip on your Attention to shine the white-hot spotlight of your Aawareness onto the stage of your own thinking, you can utterly transform your knowledge of (and relationship to) the thoughts that have, for years, convinced you to avoid unleashing yourself fully onto a world that desperately needs you to be more than you perceive yourself to be.
Of course, as I repeat the refrain you’ve likely read or heard numerous times from Dynamic Mental Fitness Training material, you cannot master Thought for the purpose of strengthening your Will without first training your Attention, because as William James put it long ago…
“Effort of attention is the essential phenomenon of Will.”
There is only one force on Earth that can subjugate your Will, and that is an Idea that passes itself off as your own voice, imitating your Will, but which is really just another mechanical bit of chatter that arises in your imagination at the very prospect of your daring to be more adventurous than your brain would like. Just conditioned noise, handed to you by someone else who didn’t know any better, and now you are as mentally oppressed by it as the cognitive slave who recruited you to share the chain that has enslaved others down through the centuries.
Yet you have the advantage. You are reading this. This is a different Idea – a key to unlock bonds that, in actuality, don’t even exist. You do realize, don’t you, that the restraints holding you down don’t actually exist, don’t you? If not, we’ll fix that when you start your training. You’ll understand eventually…
“Ah. I don’t need to escape. I’ve always been free except for a false assumption of bondage.”
Your Will naturally knows…
“I’m capable of more. I want and I deserve to be more and have more.”
A mindless thought – a dead thing, a mere burst of bioelectrical energy in the brain – whispers…
“No, I don’t.”
The thought is intimate. It sounds like you. It is operating within your physiology, so it FEELS like you. Being untrained in Thought Control, undrilled in properly handling such nonsensical cognitive chatter, you take it to BE YOU and accept that lie as reality and carry on with your day, living as though you do not deserve to be more or have more.
But then something happens that brings you to somebody like me, to this blog; prompts you to get the free training, at which point you sense and, hopefully, begin to discover the truth.
Then things start to change.
I enjoy a great privilege.
Not a week goes by that I do not stand witness to the stunning phenomenon of observing a human being permit himself or herself to be mindlessly beaten down by so trifling a thing as a simple thought lurking in their imagination.
Yet, week after week, I have the honor of observing many such people virtually smack their hand to their forehead in shocked realization that they are not actually required to listen to nor are they obligated to obey the chaotic mental chatter that habitually hounds them – especially those insidious thoughts and feelings that sabotage our highest aspirations for who we want to be, what we truly want to do, and what we want to have in our life.
The shock for them is often laughably funny to them and for me as their trainer. “How in the world did I not see that before!?!” is often the expression that results. People are knocked for a loop to discover that they had the power all along to carry out their dreams, and that the only thing standing between them and that glorious expression of potential…was a mistaken assumption, an illusion; less substantial than wind, as easily conquered as a dark room is conquered by switching on a light.
I get to watch new mental fitness trainees (from more than 100 countries) make themselves into Cognitive Craftspeople, Scientists and Explorers across the cognitive landscape, able to forge, shape, and mold their own thinking patterns into accurate reflections of their genuine Will, so that, when mental chatter comes, it is mental chatter that moves them forward to the high mark.
This training improves brain health and fitness because it improves and transforms an individual’s understanding of himself, of herself, and that starts a unique, novel adventure of living life in a new way. That manner of learning is vastly superior to sitting at a computer playing the typical brain training ‘game’.
The best brain game is the game of life.

Beautifully expressed and as usual a pleasure to read everything you have to say and remind oneself that the difference between a happy mind and a clogged one is five minuets of mental training.

I just strted my 7-Day course and have couple of questions. Is it 7 day or 30?
Should i complete all exercises in 7 days and then repeat it for 30 days?
Should I go to Day 3 first to write the Preparatory Statement and go back to Day 1 exercise?

It’s a self-contained course that takes seven days to go through. When you start training, I recommend you take a couple of the approaches and do them until you have them mastered and proficiently understand the material that is written for the ‘Day’ with which the approach is attached. For instance, the Day One technique and Life Application exercise are designed to improve your moment-to-moment self-awareness of the cognitive forces at play in your mind as well as the physical impulses that flow through your body, both of which cause most people to move around like blind, programmed machines. By mastering the Day One techniques, you begin to live in defiance of automatonic urges, improving your self-control, self-determination, and physical poise and relaxation. You start to ‘WAKE UP’ from mental slumber.
The Day Two exercise improves Time On Task, Working Memory, and Self Control through eye control training; while the Life Application exercise teaches you to EXECUTE EVERY ACT OF SIGNFICANCE from a state of singular concentration, helping you become a MASTER at it.
Those two days alone, mastered, will utterly transform your existence.
